James Flanagan James A. Flanagan is in his 26th consecutive year of law practice. He received his Juris Doctorate (JD) degree in 1981 from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, California and was admitted to the California State Bar that same year, 1981. He was admitted in 1982 to the U.S. District Court, Central District of California. Mr. Flanagan practices Civil Litigation, with an emphasis on Real Estate, Business and Enforcement of Judgment matters. Mr. Flanagan established the Law Office of James A. Flanagan, in February 1988 and has continued with his own practice since that time. The firm has focused on Civil Litigation with an emphasis on Real Estate, Business and Collection matters. Mr. Flanagan has acquired extensive experience in all aspects of litigation, handling hundreds of cases and has handled both court and jury trials, as well as appellate and post-judgment proceedings. From 1996 through 2001, Mr. Flanagan served in an Of Counsel capacity to Grebow Yee and Spiro in Beverly Hills and Century City, until their merger with the Berger Kahn firm. He has had a number of magazine articles published in Los Angeles Lawyer magazine. (click "Publications" link above). Mr. Flanagan has also served on a periodic basis as a volunteer for the Los Angeles Superior Court as Judge Pro Tem. Mr. Flanagan has also served on a pro bono basis as counsel for an international fastpitch association. Mr. Flanagan has been a member of Young Professionals Against Cancer (YPAC), which serves as a fund raising arm for Children's Hospital in Orange, California. He also competes in and does radio broadcasting for national and international men's fastpitch events, and is an avid baseball fan.
